Director excellence: Get to know Corey Peterson, Steps to Recovery Homes Board of Directors Member
Corey is a director on the Steps to Recovery Homes Board of Directors. He worked in recovery for over a decade after finding and establishing his own recovery on May 15, 2009. Corey started working in the recovery field in 2010 with a small IOP and sober living. He helped grow this into a Joint Commission Accredited Treatment Center that offered all levels of care, from detox to outpatient, with a structured living component. This center eventually became a multi-state venture with close to 200 beds. Also, Corey worked on the intervention side as he is a firm believer that substance use disorder impacts the entire family and that they need assistance as well. Proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps during the 1990s, Corey earned his B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University in 2003. He managed several high-end restaurants and bars in the Scottsdale area before finding his own recovery. Corey is passionate about helping others find long-term recovery and uses his own maintained recovery as an example of the possibilities.Currently, Corey Peterson is a Managing Member of SKH Investments.
