Nikkie Pruitt has been fortunate to work for several Community Banks during her 27-year banking career. One of the many reasons she was excited to work for Foothills Bank was to have time to get involved in the community and actively participate as a board member in local events. She feels that being involved helps her reach out to community organizations for opportunities to participate both professionally and personally.
Currently, Nikkie serves as Treasurer for the Verde Valley Sanctuary, Vice President for the Verde Valley Senior Citizens’ Association, and Treasurer & Secretary for Verde Valley Manor. She is active with the Greater Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, attending as many events as possible and participating in ribbon cuttings. One of the best aspects of working with these organizations is that all the money raised stays in the community. The funds raised for the Verde Valley Senior Citizens’ provide meals on wheels and delivered almost 60,000 meals in 2022. Verde Valley Sanctuary provides services to nearly 1,500 survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and offers over 300 prevention education presentations to more than 2,100 youth.
Nikkie appreciates working for an organization that loves their communities and encourages employees to get involved, finding the work both rewarding and self-fulfilling.
