Corey Peterson brings over a decade of transformational leadership experience in addiction treatment and recovery services to the board. As a passionate advocate for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder, Corey has dedicated his career to expanding access to quality treatment and building high-performing teams that deliver life-saving care.
During his tenure at A Better Today Recovery Services from 2010 to 2020, Corey demonstrated exceptional growth leadership, helping to scale the organization from a 10-bed facility to a 120+ bed operation. He progressed through multiple leadership roles, from House Manager to Director of Admissions/Intake, ultimately serving as a member of the Executive Team. Under his leadership, his 16-person admissions team successfully admitted nearly 800 individuals into treatment in 2017 alone.
Corey’s strategic vision and operational expertise include implementing comprehensive CRM systems (Salesforce), conducting P&L analysis, and developing data-driven approaches to treatment admissions. He is recognized as an effective communicator and team builder, comfortable presenting to live audiences and appearing on radio and television to advocate for addiction treatment and recovery.
A graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (2008), Corey combines business acumen with deep empathy and understanding of the addiction treatment landscape. His personal mission centers on helping individuals and their families find pathways to recovery, making him a valuable addition to any organization committed to advancing addiction treatment services.
Corey is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and maintains strong relationships throughout the treatment industry, reflected in his endorsements from fellow executives at Scottsdale Recovery Center, Building Blocks Counseling, ViVRE Housing, and Illuminate Recovery.
