The Steps to Recovery Homes Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the governance, strategic direction, and financial stewardship of the organization. They ensure our mission—to provide safe, structured housing and holistic recovery services—remains focused and effective.

A Family-Focused Work Environment
Our Nonprofit Governance
Steps to Recovery Homes operates under clearly defined bylaws that guide our governance and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and best practices. We have over 50% of our board of directors are people with lived experience
Key board details include:
- Size of Board: 7–12 Directors
- Term Length: 2 years (with options for renewal)
- Meetings: At least 4 annually, plus one Annual Meeting
- Compensation: Board members serve on a volunteer basis
- Qualifications: Directors must be 18+ and aligned with our mission
