Residential Technician

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Does not use alcohol or any other drugs
  • Has at least 1 year clean from substances
  • Knowledge and understanding of 12 step fellowship
  • Strong personal boundaries
  • Signs code of ethics
  • Able to handle situations in a composed manner
  • Is a team player and has leaderships skills
  • Knows how to communicate
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Writes and Speaks English
  • Arizona resident
  • 21 years of age
  • 2 reputable references
  • Willing to take random urine analysis and breathalyzers
  • Driver’s license and Good driving record for past 5 years
  • Ability to withstand weather conditions
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds

 

TRAINING:

 

  • The ability to understand the disease model of addiction
  • First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Infectious Disease Control and Prevention
  • Discharge Procedures
  • Mental Health and First Aid Training
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Assisted self-administration of Medication

HOUSE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Responsible for supervising clients conduct, behavior and adherence to Steps to Recovery Homes Policies, Requirements, and House Rules

 

  • Will handle all issues in a supportive, professional manner
  • Maintains and atmosphere of spirituality and recovery with all clients
  • Ensure that Steps to Recovery Homes is a safe, clean environment for all clients
  • Maintains healthy public relations
  • Encourages and promotes teamwork and accountability among clients

 

DUTIES:

 

  • Morning Bed Checks — Make sure clients are up on time and rooms are clean.
  • Evening Bed Checks – Make sure clients are home on time and rooms are clean.
  • Perform random house walks throughout the day and at 10:30 to ensure common areas are closed and vacated.
  • Encourage clients to be productive with their day.
  • Check that all clients are signing out and back in.
  • Make sure clients are drawing for UA’s according to their phase.
  • Perform and Document random UAs and Breathalyzers
  • Perform Intakes.
  • Hold weekly house meetings
  • Complete monthly safety checklist.
  • Make sure all supplies are available.
  • Ensure that house looks presentable at all times
  • Go to all staff training.
  • Set an example by going to meetings and working steps.
  • Drive clients to meetings.
  • Maintain Yard, House, Bikes

DAILY CHECKLIST

MORNING (7A – 10A)

  • Clients Up
  • House/Rooms Clean
  • Draw for UAs / give breathalyzers
  • Beds Made
  • Sign out/in sheet

 

MIDDAY (11A – 2P):

  • House Clean
  • Clients fulfilling responsibilities
  • Bed Checks
  • Sign out/in sheet

 

AFTERNOON/EVENING (4P – 7P):

  • House Clean
  • Clients fulfilling responsibilities
  • Sign out/in sheet
  • Meeting

 

NIGHT (9P – 12P):

  • House Clean
  • Noise level is low
  • Common Areas empty after 10:30p
  • Breathalyzers / UA’s upon request
  • Sign out/in sheets.
