Steps To Recovery Homes
Recovery That Rebuilds Lives & Restores Purpose
From Addiction to Purpose
We provide safe, structured environments free from alcohol and drugs for people who often fall through the cracks. Through behavior modification, core issue awareness, and life skills development, we help individuals reintegrate into the community and live healthy, self-directed lives.
“Our goal is to guide individuals toward long-term recovery and teach them how to live successfully in the world.”

What Makes Us Different
Holistic, Whole-Person Recovery
We go beyond sobriety by addressing all areas of life impacted by addiction — including mental health, relationships, finances, employment, physical health, and emotional wellbeing. Recovery is more than abstinence; it’s about living fully and independently.
Structure With Compassion
Our homes are safe, sober, and highly structured environments that adhere to all city regulations and operate under a state sober living license. Our staff are individuals with lived experience in addiction and, most importantly, recovery, who balance accountability with genuine care.
Programs for Co-Occurring Disorders
We recognize that many individuals struggle with more than substance use alone. Our approach incorporates support for co-occurring mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and depression, helping residents heal on all levels.
Real-World Life Skills
Our recovery programs focus on tangible skills that help residents succeed long after they leave. From job readiness and budgeting to parenting and personal boundaries, we prepare individuals to face life with confidence and resilience.
Community Integration & Workforce Reentry
We actively help residents become contributing members of society again, whether that means rejoining the workforce, reconnecting with family, or volunteering. We partner with local businesses, employers, and community leaders to offer real opportunities for growth.
Proven Results with National Recognition
With over a decade of impact in rural Arizona, our work has been recognized by Vitalyst healthcare organization, Health First Foundation of Northern Arizona, United Way, and the National Rural Institute on Alcohol, Drugs and Addictions. Our model has helped hundreds achieve sustainable sobriety and transformed communities in the process.
Clinical & Recovery Services
Structured sober living combined with comprehensive clinical and wellness services to help residents build lasting independence and sustainable recovery.
Comprehensive Clinical Treatment
All our facilities provide clinical treatment overseen by licensed Clinical Directors. Residents receive personalized assessments, goal-driven treatment plans, and coordinated care integrating therapy, skills training, and case management. We emphasize accountability, compassionate support, and measurable outcomes that sustain long-term recovery.
Individual Therapy
One-to-one sessions tailored to coping skills, relapse prevention, trauma processing, anxiety and depression management, and identity rebuilding—personalized care that addresses each resident's unique recovery needs.
Psychoeducational Therapy
Structured groups that teach the science of addiction, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, communication skills, and healthy routines—helping residents understand the "why" behind behaviors and building practical tools for daily life.
Trauma Therapy
Clinician-guided protocols addressing PTSD and complex trauma. Residents learn stabilization, grounding, and resilience skills while safely processing traumatic experiences linked to substance use.
ART Therapy
Evidence-informed, brief therapy approach that uses imagery and memory reconsolidation techniques to reduce the distress of trauma, anxiety, and triggers without requiring prolonged exposure details.
Grief & Loss Groups
Facilitated groups to process loss, trauma, and change—developing coping strategies, shared connection, and meaning-making that supports sobriety and emotional health during recovery.
Telehealth Sessions
Secure virtual sessions for therapy, check-ins, and care coordination. Telehealth increases access, reduces barriers to timely support, and keeps residents engaged in treatment during work or transportation challenges.
Sound Bath Healing
Guided relaxation with therapeutic sound to calm the nervous system, improve sleep, and lower stress—supporting emotional regulation and recovery focus through mindful healing practices.
Equine Therapy
Experiential work with horses to cultivate trust, boundaries, emotional awareness, and non-verbal communication—translating to healthier relationships and self-leadership skills.
Camping
Nature-based outings that build teamwork, self-reliance, and stress relief. Residents practice sober fun, healthy routines, and shared responsibility in outdoor settings.
Kayaking
Low-impact fitness and mindfulness in nature. Kayaking improves focus, mood, and physical health while reinforcing sober recreation skills and outdoor confidence.
Hiking
Guided hikes in the Verde Valley encourage routine movement, stress reduction, and community bonding—key components of sustainable recovery and physical wellness.
Financial Literacy
Practical coaching on budgeting, banking, credit, debt reduction, and planning. Residents build confidence with money, align spending to priorities, and practice habits that sustain independence.
Peer Support
Residents work with peers who have lived recovery experience, gaining mentorship, accountability, and real-world strategies that complement clinical care and foster community.
Case Management
Coordination of services including IDs, benefits, medical and dental care, legal resources, and transportation. We remove barriers so residents can focus on growth and recovery.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
A higher level of care blending multiple weekly therapy groups, individual counseling, and recovery assignments—ideal for added structure while maintaining work or school commitments.
Job Development Groups
Resume building, applications, interview practice, workplace communication, and employer networking—so residents move from stabilization to sustainable employment and economic independence.
Outpatient Groups
Ongoing recovery groups that reinforce skills, accountability, and community connection. Flexible scheduling supports transition from higher levels of care to independent recovery.
Skills Training
Life and vocational skills including time management, meal planning, conflict resolution, digital literacy, and habit building—practical competencies that support independent living and long-term success.
